We have been serving the Mining and exploration industry for over 30 years with specialized equipment and quality service. MSD operates some of the most advanced equipment available on the market; most of our gear is only a few years old.

MSD was the first drilling contractor in Canada to utilize the Center Sample Hammer, we have basically used every Center Sample Hammer that has come onto the market and now use the best one available.

We are a company based in the North that has learned a lot about preparing for remote locations, this has allowed us to successfully compete in Worldwide Drilling contracts.

MSD currently has a T685 in the Balkan Region of Eastern Europe (Rig #9). Also two drills in Yemen in the Middle East. One RC drill (Rig #2) and one Diamond Drill (Rig # 10).

We are proud of our knowledgeable, dependable crews and provide them with ongoing technical and safety training. All crew members have WHMIS and Standard First Aid at the minimum. Transportation of dangerous goods by land and H2S Alive.

Our modern 60' x 80' maintenance shop situated on 4 acres of land in Whitehorse has 4 full time Shop personnel plus the office staff. We carry a well stocked inventory at our headquarters as well as at each drill rig there is a 'Parts Shack' with all of the essentials to keep the job running smoothly.

Having been 'brought up in the north' we have learned to keep an enormous number of spare parts on hand because of the time and distance from the southern suppliers, also being in an industry that works 24/7 you have to have everything you need to stay operating when all of the stores are closed.
